"Beaver the Cat" (SJ 325) — Limited Edition of 15, Signed and Numbered

American artist Sally Deng painted "Beaver the Cat" for the cover of Summit Journal 325 (Fall 2026). The painting depicts Beaver, the longtime resident cat of Alaska’s Talkeetna Air Taxi. Acrylic on paper, 10.25x13.5 inches, 2026.

Sally has produced a limited edition of 15 giclée fine-art prints,  16x21 inches, each individually signed and numbered. There will not be a second printing.

Sally creates art for magazines, newspapers, books, and more in her Los Angeles studio. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Atlantic, among many other publications. She is the author-illustrator of Skyward: The Story of Female Pilots in WWII and Warrior Princess: The Story of Khutulun. She was selected by Forbes 30 Under 30 for the 2020 Art & Style list and was named a Young Guns 16 winner by The One Club of Creativity. Her art has been recognized and exhibited in galleries across the U.S.
