The oldest sprint event in the world has been a unique spectacle for more than 25 years now. The new concept of the cross-town sprint transforms the Lienz main square into a cross-country arena. With a roundabout, a hill and an elevated starting ramp as well as difficult bends, technical ability is required as well as sprinting power. Over 5,000 spectators can enjoy live the excitement of cross-country. Not only will the best 30 sprinters in the world be competing for victory in Lienz but lots of prominent cyclists will also be testing their cross-country skills.
